Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship supports the best and brightest minds in their postdoctoral research in Israel, connecting them with world-class academics and leading researchers.
What do I need in order to apply?
Before applying, please review the detailed guidelines and full application instructions.
Who can apply?*
The fellowship is open to candidates who have received their PhD degree no earlier than November 1, 2022, in all countries except Israel.
Candidates currently enrolled in a PhD program may apply if they complete their dissertation defence successfully no later than June 1, 2026.
Applicants must not have received an academic degree – including undergraduate or graduate degrees – in an Israeli institution; however, former visiting and/or exchange students to Israel are eligible to apply.
Applicants who commenced a postdoctoral or an academic position in Israel prior to September 1, 2025, may not apply.
*At the time of application, candidates are required to have an academic sponsor, who is a faculty member at an eligible Israeli academic institution.
When to apply?
The online application opens September 1, 2025, and closes November 19, 2025.
How much is the fellowship?
The fellowship is made up of a basic stipend of ILS 168,000 per academic year, with an additional ILS 20,000 granted annually for research expenses and research-related travel.
When does the fellowship begin?
The starting date of the fellowship is October 2026, which is the beginning of the 2026–27 Israeli academic year. However, candidates are permitted to start their fellowship as early as June 1, 2026, or as late as February 1, 2027.
How long does the fellowship last?
The fellowship is offered for two years. Renewal for a third year will be considered favourably based on a competitive evaluation process.
How many fellowships are offered?
Up to 24 fellowships are offered per year.
When will decisions be announced?
Award notifications will be made by March 31, 2026.

Azrieli International Visiting PhD Fellowship
The Azrieli International Visiting PhD Fellowship offers outstanding international PhD candidates the opportunity to conduct short-term research in Israel, fostering academic collaboration and strengthening global research ties. Fellows will work closely with leading Israeli researchers, gaining valuable experience in world-class academic institutions.
Who can apply?
The fellowship is open to PhD candidates from all countries and academic disciplines who:
- Are enrolled at an accredited institution outside of Israel and have completed at least one year of their PhD studies at the time of application.
- Have not had prior academic experience in Israel.
- Have secured an academic host, who is a faculty member at one of the eligible Israeli institutions listed in the guidelines. Hosts may only sponsor one candidate per application cycle.
When to apply?
The online application opens March 3, 2025, and closes April 22, 2025.
How much is the fellowship, and how long does the fellowship last?
The fellowship is valued at ILS 12,000 per month, and is offered for three to four months. The aim of the funding is to support accommodation, international airfare, living costs, fees, and health insurance.

Summer School: Program for Undergraduate Research (PURE) at the Sabancı University with No Fees
Sabancı University Program for Undergraduate Research (PURE) is intended for undergraduate students from all domestic and international universities who would like to pursue guided research projects. Undergraduate students at all levels can apply and they will be selected according to projects’ requirements and the background of the applicant. The goal of the program is to introduce undergraduate students to real research problems early in their studies.
Under this program, undergraduate students will be able to contribute to research projects carried out in different fields in the laboratories of Sabancı University professors.
Date: 7 July and 28 August 2025

Information:
- Accommodation will be given to all students who are accepted for the Summer Term for free.
- There is NO application fee.
- Due to our cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, 30 of the accepted international students will also get a wide scholarship that contains a round-trip flight ticket and a monthly stipend of 9000 TL per month. If you get accepted you will get further information about this.
- Project works will take place face to face in Sabancı University Campus.
- There is NO online option.

Summer School: Law Summer Programmes at the University of Antwerp
Broaden your legal horizons this summer! Join one (or more) international summer schools offered by the Faculty of Law of the University of Antwerp.
Upon successful completion of the programme, you will receive 3 ECTS credits and a micro-credential certificate.

Overview: This summer school focuses on key legal considerations for companies crossing borders. This will be done from various perspectives including mergers & acquisitions, (aggressive) tax (planning), labour, intellectual property, insolvency, and international contracts. The summer school includes a case relating to companies involved in a cross-border take-over situation, to be solved by the students. The students' solutions are discussed from the aforementioned various perspectives.
- The summer school will be hosted on campus AND online (live stream) via Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, the collaborative online learning platform of the University of Antwerp.

Requirements:
- Students with a degree of Bachelor of Laws or Economics, or students who are enrolled in their third year.
- Students with similar competences (to be assessed on a case-by-case basis) are eligible for this summer school as well.

- Participation on campus: €450
(The fee for participation on campus includes lectures, coffee breaks, social activities and a closing ceremony. It does not include travel arrangements, accommodation or meals.)
- Digital participation: €350
(The fee for digital participation includes all lectures, tutoring and workshops, course material, digital coaching and (online) social activities. Technical set-up (stable internet connection, headset, computer and webcam) has to be provided by the participant.)
Animal Law, Rights and Representation
Overview: The Summer School Animal Law, Rights and Representation offers an intensive programme of 5 days of lectures and workshops on different aspects of animal (rights) law. Students will dive into the emerging field of animal rights law from a transnational perspective. They will be familiarized with the basics of animal rights law, get to know about issues concerning the representation of animals in court, and study the transnational aspects of the law addressing animals. Moreover, they will get the chance to interact with practitioners and animal law scholars that will give guest lectures during the course, amongst which the directors of the Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law. The aim is to give a comprehensive and critical overview of the relevant theories and laws addressing animals, including supranational, international, and national perspectives.
Participants successfully completing the course will have a strong basis in animal rights law for their further careers.

Third Bachelor and Master Students in Law. Participants should have at least completed 2 full years of higher education in a relevant field of study.

Legal Technology and Legal Innovation
Overview: In this summer course students will gain a better understanding of the concepts of legal technology and legal innovation as well as the importance of these concepts in the evolution of the legal world.
They will understand the basic principles of the programming language Python and will be able to apply these principles in simple coding exercises.
They will learn to code a decision tree, a mechanism that is daily used by lawyers, sometimes without being aware of it. Students will understand how a computer makes decisions and how it can make predictions by using so called explaining algorithms. That way students will also gain insights in how a computer can predict judicial decisions.
Students will also meet several legal start-ups and will understand the opportunities of legal technology and legal innovation in the business and customer services of these start-ups.
One of these opportunities are the so called smart contracts. The concept of smart contracts will be analysed. The following questions are addressed:
- What is a smart contract?
- What is the legal value of a smart contract?
- What are the legal difficulties that might arise using a smart contract?
Besides this, students will also learn about the technical aspects of a smart contract and will learn how to put the basic principles of coding a smart contract into practice.
Finally, the students will gain a better understanding of the concept of legal design thinking, in which a multidisciplinary frame is used to present and approach legal problems and legal services in an innovative and customer friendly way. Students will also apply the basic principles of legal design thinking in short exercises.
The course will end with a “LegalTech Game”. Participants who successfully pass this test after continuous class participation will receive a certificate of completion.

Summer School: Psychology Summer Research at the University of Glasgow
This six-week course allows students to work with University academics on an independent research project in Psychology, developing practical skills, conducting studies, and analysing data. Students will attend weekly seminars, gain hands-on experience, and produce a scientific report and oral presentation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with world-class faculty, be part of a summer research community and access outstanding facilities.

Entry Requirements:

- Experience of working with statistics is essential and of using R Studio is desirable.
- Students should ideally have completed second year of their Undergraduate Degree. Students having completed their first year may be considered for entry, this will be at the course convenors discretion.
If your first language is not English, you must meet our minimum proficiency level:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic module (not General Training) overall score of 6.0, with no sub test less than 5.5 (if English is not an applicant’s first language) and a GPA of not less than 3.0
- We also accept equivalent scores in other recognised qualifications such as ibTOEFL, CAE, CPE and more.
